About Me
I believe that true healing happens when we honor the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. As an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC), my approach is grounded in the bio-psycho-social model. This means I look beyond just symptoms to understand the unique biological, psychological, and social factors that shape your life.
My clinical practice is fueled by a passion for trauma-informed care. Having completed my Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology at William Jessup University, I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)—a specialized therapy designed to help the brain reprocess painful memories and foster lasting resilience. Because I believe traditional talk therapy is only one piece of the puzzle, I also integrate the expressive arts into my work. As an artist and musician, I enjoy helping clients use creativity to voice what words sometimes cannot.
Before transitioning into clinical mental health, I spent years as a high school teacher, coach, and student leadership coordinator. Those years in the classroom and on the court gave me a deep commitment to youth advocacy and a specialized understanding of adolescent development. I love helping young people navigate transitions, build life skills, and discover their own sense of purpose.
Whether I am working with a teenager finding their way or an adult processing past trauma, my goal is to build a trust-based relationship where you feel seen, supported, and empowered.
Outside of the therapy room, you’ll likely find me with my husband and our three teenagers. We love exploring the outdoors—usually fishing or hiking—or seeking out unique culinary experiences together.
