Do you feel misaligned with your life and day-to-day routine?
Are you questioning everything, down to who you even are?
Are you a parent who is unsure of how to support their child or teenager?
Are you “successful” but still unhappy?
Therapy is an investment into the version of yourself that YOU want to be.
Do you continuously feel overwhelmed?
Continually feeling overwhelmed is a sign that your current life is NOT sustainable and that change is desperately needed. You’re exhausted and you thought things would get better with time but they haven’t. To be truthful, they probably won’t unless change is consciously made. Trapped emotions can keep you tied to patterns that aren’t fueling the version of you that you want to be, and even more importantly, who you choose to be.
I work frequently with adults struggling with:
Life purpose and direction
Work or school-related burn-out
Anxiety
ADHD
Trauma-PTSD
I am an EMDR-trained, trauma-informed AMFT, who also specializes in codependency and domestic violence-related struggles. I value both my professional educational experience in Women's Studies and time spent volunteering with a local domestic violence agency. Oftentimes, trauma occurs in relationships. Therefore, healing can be found here as well. Humans are naturally connective creatures. I prefer a direct approach that holds you accountable to change as you work to begin advocating for yourself. I am dedicated to showing up to our space together and compassionately challenging you when needed. A gentle reminder that you may not have had choice in how certain parts of life have unfolded. However, you are in control of writing how you show up moving forward.
Parent Corner: Is your child or teenager struggling?
I have several years of experience as a school-based clinician working with all age levels from K-12th grade.
If you are a parent who has an elementary school child, I frequently utilize play therapy while integrating you, the parent, into the room to support learning tools and processing events. Communication and parent involvement is vital to ensure ideal outcomes. I also offer parent support sessions to learn tools surrounding how to best support your child if they have trauma, a recent transition, divorce, or are diagnosed with ADHD.
Parents with adolescents, what a time to be a teenager! The new world of middle or high school can feel foreign. How do you support your growing human as they try to navigate a world that looks much different? Supporting their emotional development can be vital in ensuring that they have the necessary tools as they begin to enter young adulthood.
